Cabotage by Definition • From <Caboter>, to sail along the coast • Cabotage is the Transport of Goods and Passengers between two points in the same country (Wikipedia) • Cabotage is the principle of reserving the privilege or right of Navigating and trading along the coast between two or more ports within the National territory “only to vessel that are dulyregistered in that country” DPP INSA-BEM FTK ITS SURABAYA

Why Cabotage • Maintain National Economic and operating control over critical National Infrastructure • Critical national Infrastructure -Essential to functioning of National Economy - Banking and Finance, Domestic transport, telecommunications and utilities. • All providers of domestic transportation services operate under the same National Laws and regulations DPP INSA-BEM FTK ITS SURABAYA
