  3. Our students • Over 50% have studied at Solihull College before • Majority are local – Solihull, North Solihull, bus routes • Location/quality/facilities • 94% overall satisfaction score on NSS • Teachers good at explaining 96%

  5. Cross college • HE forum twice termly • This term had launch of Start-up Young Britain • ILT developments in Summer (Mahara and new Moodle) • September - RSC session on ILT developments and tools

  6. Cross College • New for 2012/13 • HEA membership • Development of key HE staff to apply to become Fellows of the HEA • HEA dissemination session 21st Jan open to HE in FE in region

  7. HE Conference • Held at Warwick University - Scarman House -in June • Key note speakers – eg Jenny Moon, Phil Race, Colin Beard etc • Emotional Intelligence in Teaching, Student Experience at Brookes, Higher Education Academy fellowship

  8. HE Conference • Report back on Employer Engagement project from course leaders • Changes to the observation system – introduction of peer observation • Share peer observation
