Conclusion • Present situation: Difficult: no contract negotiations possible Reason: weaknesses of the proposal Improvements needed (near and mid-term future) • Two possible ways to contract negotiations:Spring 2004: Letter to the Commission: „Fulfillment of recommendations.....“ Fall 2004: Re-submission of the proposal (intermediate network????) • Our Proposal in either case: Strengths and weaknesses need to be evaluatedDetailed concerns (Networks etc.) need to be dispelled Who should be involved (NuPECC, Writing committee, EURONS and Activity coordinators, External referees….)?
