Who is Employ Florida? • Employ Florida connects you to all of Florida’s workforce services and resources by providing one name your can use to locate services anywhere in the state. • Local Employ Florida affiliates or “members” are: • The 24 regional workforce boards and the close to 100 "one-stop centers” they administer. • The state level Employ Florida partners are: • Workforce Florida, Inc. • The Agency for Workforce Innovation

  3. What is the Employ Florida Marketplace? The Employ Florida Marketplace (EFM) is an internet-based tool that allows individuals to: • Research Careers • Research Education and Training programs • Search for Jobs • Save Job Searches to run automatically • Receive Automatic Notifications of new job matches • Create Professional Resumes and Letters on line • Complete Skills Assessments • Complete a Transferable Skills Analysis

Getting Started with the EFM • You may visit the EFM at www.EmployFlorida.com and use many of the site’s features as a “Guest” • By registering on the EFM you will be able to: • Create and save Resumes • Create and save Job Searches • Create and save Skill Assessments • Keep records of job applications • Create files on employers • Much more!

  5. How Do I Register? • Go to www.EmployFlorida.com • Click “not registered,” • then click “register,” • then “individual” • Fill out the form • Red asterisks “*” indicate • required information • When registration is complete, • the EFM offers suggested next steps

Customizing Your Home Page • Once you register you can customize your home page and settings • Click on “settings” link at the • bottom of any page to • specify whether you want • web graphics or text settings • select language • enable or disable “fly-outs” • Click on the button after registering to design your Home Page.

  7. Virtual Recruiter • Virtual Recruiter allows you to search for a new job right from your desk! • Save Job Searches • Specify how often • they run • Receive Automatic • Messages when a • new match is found

  8. Background & Resume Wizard • A Wizard steps you through collecting information you can use to identify your skills and search for jobs • Select “Create New Resume” and a Wizard lets you select information from Background as well as add, edit or delete information

  9. Background & Resume Wizard • The EFM creates a professional resume – you can print it or email directly to employers • If you already have a resume you like, you can cut and paste it to the EFM format

  10. Career Services • Research Occupations • Research Job Markets • Research Industries/Employers Do this all from the convenience of your home or from your local one-stop resource room!

  11. Career Services • Complete Job Skills and/or Personal Skills, then search for occupations that match them • Find occupations with skills similar to the skills in your current occupation
