  2. AGENDA • Introductions • Purpose: The purpose of the parent information meeting is to kick-off the orientation and transition to the junior high school. The transition has three phases: (1) scheduling of classes (2) a visitation, Hope MS students will tour on May 7, Washington Woods MS will tour on May 14 and (3) a pre-school walk-thru on Friday, August 29 (don’t forget to bring your schedule with you!) • Counselor overview of the student guidebook, course request form and sample schedule. Your student will receive these handouts beginning Monday, March 10th for both 7th and 8th grade students. • Course selection forms are due one week from the Counselor’s classroom visit. ALL FORMS ARE DUE BY FRIDAY, MARCH 28TH. • Breakout session for Band parents – Band room. Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. Failer will review in more detail the optionsfor band students and answer questions.
