  1. New Zealand Adventure Sports

  2. Bungy Jumping • This sport comes from Vanuatu where islanders performed an annual ritual, leaping 35 metres off a tower with vines tied to their ankles, to please the gods and ensure a good harvest. Jumping sites are in Taupo, Mangaweka and Hanmer Springs. Your ankles are strapped and the correct bungy cord selected for your weight. You stand at the platform edge and then dive off the platform for a massive adrenaline rush.

  3. Canyoning • Locations: Auckland has a demanding journey through, over and under numerous waterfalls in the Waitakere Ranges. • You follow a steep, confined gorge, sliding down chutes and waterfalls, swimming across deep sumps, jumping off ledges into plunge pools, abseiling into deep chasms and generally having a wet, wild and wonderful time.

  4. Sky Diving • Locations Auckland and Rotorua are two of the skydiving locations New Zealand has amazing views for skydiving on a clear day. You plunge into space to free fall for 45 seconds at around 180 k/ph.

  5. Black Water Rafting • floating through a pitch-black cave with a big rubber inner tube fitted snugly around your waist into freezing cold water • But first you jump two metres off a ledge into the cave

  6. Zorbing Invented in 1990’s in New Zealand You are strapped onside a clear plastic air cushioned ball. All the violent bouncing is absorbed by the bigger outer transparent ball. As the ball rolls down a slope, you spin around in a virtual anti-gravity form of weightlessness. As you tumble head over heels, the build up force keeps you pressed hard against the plastic wall, You can also zorb on water
