  2. Right Whales • The Right whale is found off of the coast of Georgia • The Right whale is one of the most endangered species of whale

  3. Horseshoe Crabs • Isn’t really a crab at all; closely related to ticks, scorpions, and spiders • The tail is not used for a weapon; used for digging and moving about in the water • Males are much smaller than females

  4. Sea Stars • Types of sea stars common to Georgia are: • Purple star • Mottled star • Six-armed star • Blood star • Sunflower star • Leather star

  5. Loggerhead Turtles • Extremely endangered species • Five species of Loggerhead turtles live on and off of Georgia’s coast
