EFA EDR – Decisions for TWG • End Decade Review (EDR) – not an End Decade Assessment (EDA). • No Country Reports – Countries can submit Papers on Issues and/or Innovation if they choose. • Countries may send disaggregated data from Ministries for uploading on Regional EFA Info (like for the MDA) • Priority is 2015 – EDR to Point the way (compass): • to highlight disparities and their causes with the theme - Reaching the Unreached & EFA with Equity • to point out strategic directions to achieve EFA and MDGs with equity

Expected Outcomes • Maintain momentum, energy and interest in EFA and the themes Reaching the Unreached & EFA with Equity as we approach 2015. • Capacity development on evidence for advocacy and using data for decision making. Strengthening the links between monitoring and planning • EFA End Decade Reports: • One ED Report for each EFA Goal (6 Reports total) • Status of inequities • Positive developments since EFA MDA • Recommendations to reach 2015 goals • Sub-regional analysis within each Report • Regional EFA Info – Updated version of data base

Processes and Management • Informed by outcomes of EFA MDA Evaluation • Make use of existing Fora, especially for sub-regional inputs (SEAMEO, Pacific Island Forum, etc) • Collaborative in country technical support on evidence for advocacy – fewer regional workshops and events • Coordinating mechanisms – similar to MDA • Central Committee formed: UNESCO Bangkok, UIS AIMS and UNICEF EAPRO. Report to EFA TWG • Technical teams formed for each of the 6 Goals • ECCE – ARNEC, UNICEF, SCF, etc • Access – UNESCO, ILO, UNICEF, SIL, etc. • Literacy – ASPBAE, UNESCO , PLAN, etc. • Vocational & Life Skills – ILO, UNICEF, etc. • Gender – EAP UNGEI, PLAN, UNICEF, , etc. • Quality – UNICEF, UNESCO , etc.
