Introducing X8821r+ • Connecting to x8821r+ • PC or Note Book • Windows version 2000, ME, 98SE, 98 • Windows version XP and higher. • Setting up your PC to connect to modem on Windows 98, 98SE, ME and 2000 1. Double click at networkin control panel 2. Click at TCP/IP(LAN Card) and then click at properties

  5. Introducing X8821r+ • Setting up your PC to connect to modem on Windows 98, 98SE, ME and 2000 3. Choose Obtain IP Auto. 4. Leave gateway “blank” 5. Check at “Disable DNS”

  6. Introducing X8821r+ • Setting up your PC to connect to modem on Windows 98, 98SE, ME and 2000 6. Check the connection between PC and Modem by typing “ipconfig” command on DOS Prompt. So, you can connect modem now.

  7. Introducing X8821r+ • Setting up your PC to connect to modem on Windows XP and higher. 1. Go to NetworkConnections in control panel and click right on your mouse on Local Area Connection icon and choose at properties 2. Click at TCP/IP(LAN Card) and then click at properties

  8. Introducing X8821r+ • Setting up your PC to connect to modem on Windows XP and higher. 4. Check the connection between PC and Modem by typing “ipconfig” command on DOS Prompt. So, you can connect modem now. 3. Click at Obtain IP and DNS Auto

Install X8821r+ via CD ROM • Prepare PC and X8821r+ for CD installation per previous section and make sure that DSL’s LED on modem is light on(not blinking). • Insert CD ROM into your PC • Auto run program will be started as below picture • Fill in Username and Password for broadband services, then press “SAVE CONFIGURE TO DEVICE” • Wait until such auto installation is completed, then close such program • You should get the broadband services (if your Username/Password is correct and no any problem on the network at that moment )

Install X8821r+ via CD ROM • To verify that you connect with broadband services, you may open Internet browser and then go to 192.168.1.1 • Fill in your username and password to log into the router(admin/TTT) • Look into home section and see whether you got WAN IP address from services provider as below • On above case, you should surf internet without any problem. However, if it show “0.0.0.0”, you may fill in wrong Username/password or there is a problem on the network.

Install X8821r+ (manual) • Manually install X8812r+ as following: • Open Web Browser and go to 192.168.1.1 to access the modem • Router Log popup will be appeared as pic 1. • Key in Username(admin) and Password(TTT) to Log in to the Router • Then, go to “quick configuration” section, scroll down into “PPP” part as pic 2. • Key in Username and Password that should be informed by TT&T to connect ADSL Services and press “submit” button • Then, we can surf the internet by open the new Internet Explorer as Pic 3.   33. Configure X7868r+ on Wireless Feature • Wireless Security • Go to “Wireless Security Advance” • Select Wireless Security type such as WEP-64bit per ex. • Define default key for using as security key • Fill in your defined key • Press “Apply” button to take effect on wireless function

  37. Problem Solving FAQ: 1. หากลูกค้า connect ไม่ได้ จะตรวจสอบสภาพคู่สาย , error code จาก router ได้อย่างไร และความหมายของ error code คืออะไรบ้าง X8821r+ : ท่านสามารถดูได้จาก Menu “admin” และเลือกไปที่ diagnostic จากนั้นทำการกดปุ่ม submit เพื่อทำการทดสอบ จะปรากฎผลดังแสดงในภาพ

Problem Solving FAQ: 2. หากลูกค้า connect ได้แล้ว แต่ไม่สามารถใช้งาน web ได้ จะตรวจสอบจาก router ได้อย่างไรว่า dhcp ใน router ทำงานถูกต้อง , nat ทำงาน แล้ว , สาย LAN ลูกค้าต่อแล้ว X8821r+, x7882r+ & x7868r+ : ท่านสามารถตรวจสอบการทำงานของ DHCP Server function ของโมเด็มได้จากการใช้ command line ดังแสดงในรูป

Problem Solving FAQ: 3. เมื่อลูกค้ามีปัญหาใช้งานช้า จะตรวจสอบได้อย่างไรว่า ลูกค้าใช้ traffic เท่าไร , ติดต่อ websiteไหนบ้าง ใช้ port อะไรติดต่อกับ ip ปลายทางบ้าง X8821r+, x7882r+ & x7868r+ : ท่านสามารถตรวจสอบปริมาณ traffic ได้จากปริมาณการรับส่งข้อมูล ที่เข้าและออกจาก LAN Card หรือการติดตั้ง software ที่จับ traffic เช่น DU Meter เพื่อตวจสอบ traffic ดังแสดงในรูป
