  2. Gulf Air Gulf Air is the national flag carrier of Kingdom of Bahrain. Quite recently, it has announced that flight operations out of Pakistan would be resumed from May 31, 2020. The officials have confirmed that for now, only the direct flights from Islamabad to the Bahrain International Airport will be made functional. It has further clarified that the flights from other cities of Pakistan will be resumed in the coming days. Here, it is worth noting that the flights will only take passengers out of Pakistan because the Civil Aviation Authority has not yet permitted the resumption of inbound flights.

The primary reason for the suspension was COVID-19 outbreak, which is still wreaking havoc all across the globe. Before the discontinuation, Gulf Air was operating to seven destinations in Pakistan (Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, Sialkot, and Peshawar). After the orders from CAA on March 21, 2020, the airlines stopped its activities in all the seven cities. But now, it will start escorting passengers back to Bahrain from Islamabad.
