  2. Mask Testing Mask Testing The mask testing system is comprised of a compressor, pump, and filter. The compressor pumps in a constant volume of gas at a constant pressure. The pump will inject a certain amount of gas into the mask and measure the time it takes for the gas to pass through the mask. The filter will then measure the amount of gas that passes through the filter and compare it to the amount of gas that went into the mask. The filter will then determine the efficiency of the mask.
