  5. “Increase awareness and value of the profession to management and boards” • Advocacy to the stakeholders who are critical to internal auditors • Took kit for CAE communication with Boards • Responsiveness to stakeholder surveys…expectations • Establish and enhance relationships with groups like NACD

  7. “Be recognized by public policy makers as the voice for the profession” • Creation of North American Advocacy Committee – July 2012 • Engaged government relations firm for DC relationships • Identify legislative and regulatory targets

  9. “Be the preferred resource for government sector auditors” • Assessment from estimated 100,000 public sector auditors in the U.S. – May 2012 • American Center for Government Auditors • Provide alternate membership options • Elevate quality of government auditor training

  11. “Be financially secure and stable in order to meet its mission and carry out its strategic goals” • $30 million in annual NA revenue • Turn-around from net loss in 2008 to $4.4 million net contribution in 2011 • Establishing sufficient reserves • Fiscal segregation of NA and Global operations
