Early Humans. Paleolithic People. Adapted to their environment and made tools to help them survive. We learn about the earliest people from what they left behind…these are called ARTIFACTS. The earliest people lived in the Stone Age because their tools and weapons were made with stone.

Paleolithic People • Adapted to their environment and made tools to help them survive. • We learn about the earliest people from what they left behind…these are called ARTIFACTS. • The earliest people lived in the Stone Age because their tools and weapons were made with stone. • Development of the spoken language

  3. Hunters and Gatherers • The earliest people(Paleolithic People) had to spend a lot of their hunting for food. • They hunted animals, caught fish, ate insects and gathered nuts, berries, fruits, grains, and plants • People were always on the move. They were hunters and gatherers. These people were called NOMADS.

  4. Neolithic People • People started farming, building communities, producing goods, and trading • Farming became important. The Farming Revolution was one of the most important events in Human History. • Villages grew because people were able to stay in one place.

  5. Benefits of Settled Life • There was a steady food supply. • Populations grew. • Bigger populations meant there were more workers to produce a bigger crop.
