  3. RELEVANCE OF YOUTH MEDIA Current Learning Objectives: • Helps us to share out our experiences and skills. • Motivates us and the other youth like making videos of role models. Others: Keeps the youth updated about new science concepts

  4. UNIQUE EXPERIENCES AND PERSPECTIVES Media making experience: Experiences and skills in production of video and audio lessons . Project based learning • Promoting science education in rural schools through the project Education for the rural people using ict. • Working with world starts with me.

  8. Measurement of Youth Outcome • Looking at the quality of the work e.g. in terms of choice of people interviewed, setting where the video is recorded etc. • Diversity of resources and the people interviewed. • Interest and willingness of the youth to do the projects

  9. Stakeholders to be influenced by AYV School • Head teachers (Show them products) • Teachers Home • Parents, brothers and sisters Community • Leaders (interviewing them, show them products) e.g. MPs

  10. Benefits for Youth beyond AYV • Gain knowledge and same of the skills as we share with them. • Get a chance to air out their views i.e. as we interview them.

  11. Issues that the youth may engage in • Production of videos of science role models i.e. interviewing them of how they got to where they are. • Interview the community to get their views on sciences and teachers can use these to influence students to do sciences. • Video lessons.

  14. Through giving testimonies about the skills I have gained and how I have been benefited,during workshops like this one. Burning CDs and DVDs and sending them out to the youth in schools. Through the well known and regularly used websites like the one for schoolnet. Ways of sharing
