  2. Who are Pure Innovations • Service provision started in 1986 so we have over 20 years in Supported employment • We provide a supported employment service across all disability groups and provide a service to care leavers looking at Education, Employment and Training. • We have several provision contracts throughout the UK including London and the midlands. • Pure is a diverse organisation who also offer Day service provision, Partnered Projects and community based projects from parks to radio.

  3. IPS in Stockport • Pure were awarded IPS funding in April 2010. • Under IPS monies we have funded an additional 2 employment officers and a part time monitoring officer. Bringing the existing team to 4 staff. • We have 1 member of staff based within each of the 3 CMHT’s in Stockport delivering a specialist employment service.

  4. Key Principles of IPS How Pure deliver the Key principles of IPS • Competitive employment is the primary goal • Every who wants it is eligible for Employment Support • Job search is consistent with individual preferences • Job search is rapid and within one month • Employment specialists and clinical teams are work and are located together • Support is time unlimited and is individualised to both employer and employee • Welfare benefits counselling supports the person through the transition from benefits to work.

  5. Feedback What has worked:- • Improved Communication with CMHT and Care Coordinators – team approach to overcoming issues. • Improved service to clients who want to “Discuss” vocation options before making a decision. • Sharing of information to ensure smooth transition into employment. • Attending Team Allocation meetings and employment is discussed in most cases. • Change of mindset in regard to impact of employment for clients and who is employable. What we are working on:- • Developing clearer referral pathways so prevent saturation • Engaging with the STAR workers at Stepping Hill Hospital • Retentions –Not covered under IPS but issues are brought to our attention through the CMHT.
