Milestones & Deliverables • to be accomplished until Mid-term: • Web site operational • First 6-month and annual management reports • List of potential Partners for a European Training Network • Established List of Journals • 10 Industrial Visits Completed • List of potential Partners for a European BtoB mentoring Scheme • Established Links to other industrial statistics groups • Mid-Term assessment report • Exploitation perspectives (draft TIP)

Some examples of good practice • WP3: General statistical modelling, process modelling and control Development of training material to be used in industrial visits, workshops, seminars etc: • Simulation of production processes (aluminium wheels and oil filters) for teaching DoE and SPC • MetaGen: simulation of clinical trials for teaching the design of trials protocols and the analysis of simulated data

  4. Some examples of good practice • WP4: Reliability, Safety and Quality Improvement • Joint events with engineering community • Development of an Industrial Visit Scheme • Collaborative industrial visits and publications • a database in the context of E-library to provide roadmaps, diagnostic tools and solutions for problems in industry, business and gov. inst??

  5. Some examples of less good practice • Design and Implementation of industrial visits & Workshops • (Lack of?) Criteria for choice of the targeted industries and sectors • No regular update of the web-site. Projects outcomes and outputs not available on the web. • (not satisfactory) Quality of Year1 progress report and CS

  6. A decision • Whether or not to continue the contract will be taken before the end of Month 23 (i.e. November 2003)
