3. Passage: • Groundwater recharge or deep drainage or deep percolation is a hydrologic Process where water moves downward from surface water to groundwater. • This process usually occurs in the vadose zone below plant roots and is often Expressed as a flux to the water table surface. recharge occurs both naturally(through the water cycle) and anthropologically (i.e,’artificial groundwaterrecharge’),where rainwater and or reclaimed water is routed to the subsurface. • Groundwater is recharge naturally by rain and snow melt and to smaller extent By surface water(river and lakes). Recharge may be impeded somewhat by human activities including paving ,development,or logging.These activities can result in enhanced surface runoff and reduction in recharge. • Use of groundwaters , especially for irrigation, may also lower the water tables.

4. ترجمه • شارژ مجدد آب زیرزمینی یا زهکشی عمیق یا نفوذ عمیق یک فرایند هیدرولوژیکی است که در آن آب از آبهای سطحی به آبهای زیر زمینی یا به سمت پایین حرکت میکند.این فرایند معمولا در ناحیه ی آبی زیر ریشه های گیاه رخ میدهد و اغلب به صورت یک جریان رونده به سفره ی آب سطحی خود را نشان میدهد.شارژمجدد هم به صورت طبیعی(توسط چرخه ی آب) و هم به صورت مصنوعی توسط انسان (برای مثال ،شارژمصنوعی آب زیر زمینی)،جایی که آب باران یا آب اصلاح شده به سمت سطح زیرین حرکت میکند،انجام میشود. • آب زیر زمینی به طور طبیعی توسط باران وبرف ذوب شده و در سطح کمتر توسط آب سطحی (رود خانه ها و دریاچه ها) تاًمین میشود.فعالیت های انسانی مانند سنگ فرش ، آسفالت ،پیشرفت و سیستماتیک شدن تا حدی مانع شارژو تغذیه ی آب زیر زمینی میشود.نتیجه ی این فعالیت ها افزایش رواناب سطحی و کاهش شارژ و تغذیه ی آب های زیرزمینی را در پی دارد.استفاده از آبهای زیرزمینی ،به ویژه برای آبیاری،سبب کمتر شدن سفره های آبی میشود.
