  1. Data Representation and Presentation using Powerpoint • Microsoft PowerPoint is a presentation program developed by Microsoft. It is part of the Microsoft Office suite, and runs on Microsoft Windows and Apple's Mac OS X computer operating systems. • PowerPoint is widely used by business people, educators, students, and trainers and among the most prevalent forms of persuasive technology. • Using HTML to Create Webpages and Data Tables, and Present Information on the Internet • Making Information Available • With a webbrowser, one can view web pages that may contain text, images, videos, and other multimedia and navigate between them using hyperlinks. • Using concepts from earlier hypertext systems, English physicist Sir Tim Berners-Lee, now the Director of the World Wide Web Consortium, wrote a proposal in March 1989 for what would eventually become the World Wide Web.[1]  • "The World-Wide Web (W3) was developed to be a pool of human knowledge, which would allow collaborators in remote sites to share their ideas and all aspects of a common project." [4] • Basic Programming in Scratch • Scratch is a programming language developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab to help young people learn how to develop computer programs. • In Scratch, we created games that involved catching a ball, • Tic-Tac-Toe, and even Pong. Photo Editting With Photoshop Adobe Photoshop, or simply Photoshop, is a graphics editing program developed and published by Adobe Systems. It is the current market leader for commercial bitmap and image manipulation software, and is the flagship product of Adobe Systems. It has been described as "an industry standard for graphics professionals"[1] and was one of the early "killer applications" on the Macintosh, later also for MS Windows.[2] • Data Analysis Using Excel • Data Analysis and Visualization with Excel • One of the most common uses of a spreadsheet is to chart financial information. • We created an annual budget for ourselves, so we can monitor our spending while here at UCSD and calculate how much discretionary spending money we have each month.
