  3. COLEGIO SAN JUAN BOSCO PASEO CANALEJAS 38-54 37001 SALAMANCA www.sanjuanboscosalamanca.eu SAN JUAN BOSCO San Juan Bosco School is an integrated school. We have Pre-School, Primary School, Secondary School and Sixth Form.

  4. SAN JUAN BOSCO It’s been a bilingual school for almost seven years, and at Primary School and the 1st year of Secondary Education, the pupils study several subjects in English.

  5. SAN JUAN BOSCO San Juan Bosco School has achieved 4-star recognition for Business Excellence (400+ points), based on the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM)

  6. SAN JUAN BOSCO Our Principal, Jesús Calvo, tells us that our School belongs to the Salesian Sisters, an order founded by Saint John Boscoin 1872, with the help of Saint Maria Mazzarello.

  7. SAN JUAN BOSCO The Salesian Sisters believe in the Preventive System of Education, which regards education as a “matter of the heart”. There are three key elements in the Preventive System: reason, religion and kindness

  8. SAN JUAN BOSCO And at our school, they aim at educating the pupils to be “good Christians and honourable citizens”. Our school dates back to 1904, although it has been in our present building since 1944.

  9. SAN JUAN BOSCO This is the community of Sisters of Mary Help of Christians at San Juan Bosco School

  10. SAN JUAN BOSCO This is our Secondary School head teacher, Fernando Hernández. He is really nice with us!!

  11. SAN JUAN BOSCO Candi Juan is the Primary School head teacher. He was our teacher some years ago and we keep wonderful memories of that time.

  12. SAN JUAN BOSCO This is the conference room. Here we do different activities and have conferences.

  13. SAN JUAN BOSCO This is the playground, where we practice different sports and relax during the break.

  14. SAN JUAN BOSCO Here we are in the gym. This is where we have Physical Education and our festivals.

  15. SAN JUAN BOSCO This is the computer room. Here we have computer lessons and prepare projects for different subjects.

  16. SAN JUAN BOSCO We are in the library. We love reading books here and sometimes we do our homework together.

  17. SAN JUAN BOSCO This is the chemistry lab. Here we do experiments with our teachers.

  18. SAN JUAN BOSCO This is the technology room, where we do projects with our Technology teacher.

  19. SAN JUAN BOSCO This is one of our Pre-School classrooms. All these children will participate in a Comenius Project one day!!

  20. SAN JUAN BOSCO Here we are with the pupils of Sixth Year of Primary School. They study Science, Physical Education and Music in English!!

  21. SAN JUAN BOSCO Here we are with our classmates, in our classroom. It’s great being in our third year of Secondary School. We get on really well and have lots of fun together.

  22. SAN JUAN BOSCO Here we are in the classroom with Second Year of Sixth Form students. Some of them participated in our previous Comenius Proyect and have told us about their experience.

  23. SAN JUAN BOSCO This is a very important place for our school. In our chapel, we join to pray on Friday, and hear mass sometimes.

In the lower part, there is an engraving of the king and queen of Spain at the time the University was built, Isabel and Fernando. On either side we can see vegetable, animal and geometric decoration.

It is called the “Patio de Escuelas”, where we can appreciate different amazing engravings.

It became an institution capable of combining Knowledge About man, society, nature, history and God.

But, now the only treasure that it keeps is one of the best libraries in the city, with a lot of books.

Its name refers to the two characters in the Renaissanceplay "La Celestina"
