  1. No sleeping in today: the cleaning lady was in before 8 am. Trip to Israel, Dec-Jan 2012-2013: Second week in Ra’anana: Tuesday We saw interesting wall paintings on the way to the library.

  2. At the library we met Dasha and Noam and found out the kids’ library only opens after 1 pm so we changed our plans around and walked uphill to a park near the municipality building. Alma was fascinated by the black fine pebbles on the ground; I was annoyed by the large amount of cigarette butts... Noam has been really enjoying the workbook we brought him.

  3. But it was a nice park and we spent a whole hour there. Thanks Dasha for contributing photos!

  4. We had lunch at Pizza Green, on Ahuza, that had the best table set – toddler size! The pizza was good too, so everyone was happy.

  5. Talented Dasha made Noam beautiful flash cards to teach him to read the names of the animals in Russian and recognize the Cyrillic alphabet. She drew on each card a gorgeous letter with “animal hints” – you really want to learn Russian when you see those!

  6. Dessert was devoured at a nearby ice cream parlour (and this was also a diversion action, as we were trying to convince Noam to forget about a giant stick he insisted on carrying everywhere...)

  7. Getting to the library down the road took much longer than planned as the kids insisted to stop for a while at a little enclosure (urban park?) on Ahuza and play together nicely.

  8. At last we managed to detach the kids from the play area and arrived at the library...

  9. Lots to read and play!

  10. The kids demonstrated good team work when building with big blocks

  11. We had a fabulous day together. Noam was very disappointed that at the bus stop we didn’t join him for a trip back to his home... Alma slept in the pram while Hahgoot and I shopped for books and Sushi. She woke up and ate some too when we stopped to buy clothes.

  12. We rested an hour at home and went out again. This time Emanuel took us to Hod Hasharon to visit the Kent family (I used to work with Nitzan at the Rabin centre). Shira, who is a bubbly year 1 student, got along famously with Hahgoot and they dressed up, played and generally got extra silly together. She liked Hahgoot’s chicken noises... In our next presentation: Wednesday and Thursday with grandparents and friends
