Emergency Evacuation Procedure • Emergency Warning System (if you hear ‘whoop-whoop’ tone) • evacuate by nearest safeEXITand move to Assembly Area • close all doors • do not re-enter, or allow others to enter, building until all-clear has been given • Bomb Threat • evacuate by nearest safe EXITthen to Assembly Area • do not use mobile phones • Lecturer to call Security on 6304 3333 • do not re-enter, or allow others to enter, building until all-clear has been given • Fire or other Emergency • evacuate by nearest safe EXITand move to Assembly Area • in case of earthquake do not evacuate, move under desks, tables etc. • close all doors • raise the alarm, use RED break glass alarm (if available) • Lecturer to call Security on 6304 3333 • do not re-enter, or allow others to enter, building until all-clear has been given Emergency call 6304 3333 - DO NOT use mobile if Bomb Threat Earthquake - Do not evacuate, shelter under table, desk or door frame

Safety & Security with ECU • Your Responsibility as a Student • If lecturer does not show inform school secretary/clerical as soon as possible. • ECU supports a NON-SMOKING environment. • Hazards need to be reported to a university staff member. • Accidents and injuries need to be reported to a university staff member as soon as possible. • Emergency Assistance • Note the location and use of the Security phones on campus. These are radiophones. • Security Officers are trained in First Aid. • Note the location and availability of the campus Medical Suite. • 24 hour Escort Service is available through ECU Security call 6304 3333. • If attending the campus out of hours we recommend you should transit at a minimum in pairs.
