What key concepts of Professional Learning Communities do you believe will have the most impact on your vision of school improvement? 2. As an Administrator, what are the key values that are essential to quality education and in what ways could Professional Learning Communities strengthen those values? 3. Describe what steps you would take to build a professional Learning Community at your school. 4. Do you believe in your collective capacity as a faculty and administration at create a better future at your school? Why? Why Not? What steps need to be taken to strengthen the future at your school? 5. If your school was a car, at this point in time, what kind of car would it be, and why? What kind of a car would you like your school to be? How can Professional Learning Communities help you to upgrade to that model?

What impact will the components have on your own performance as a leader? • If “we are more likely to learn something from people who disagree with us” (p.41), how do we use that to our advantage as a leader? • How would you classify your leadership style? How will you address the “complexities of leadership” (p. 46) relative to your style when leading in a change environment? • How will you mobilize the collective capacity of your school or organization to challenge themselves to improve student achievement for the children that you serve? • As a leader, what are the key values that are essential for you to be a quality leader in an era of accountability?
