4 th Grade Room 11 Mr. Kalb. Rule. In this class we have only one rule: TREAT OTHERS HOW YOU WANT TO BE TREATED. This covers all of our actions. Math. We will be following the standards and testing every 2 weeks, usually the last day of the week.

  1. 4th GradeRoom 11Mr. Kalb

  2. Rule • In this class we have only one rule: TREAT OTHERS HOW YOU WANT TO BE TREATED. This covers all of our actions.

  3. Math • We will be following the standards and testing every 2 weeks, usually the last day of the week. • We will also be completing Calendar Math on the SMART Board and testing on that every 2 weeks when not testing on the above. • There should be math homework most nights, even if it is just having parents check the work.

  4. Reading • We will be reading out of the basil some. Most of the reading will come from chapter books. Students will choose several books at a time and then I will place in groups where I think they will find the best success. NOT NECESSARILLY BASED ON ABILITY. • There is also a Reading Log that needs to be completed every night and turned in each Friday.

  5. Science and Spelling • We switch classes for Science and Spelling. Mrs. Johnson teaches Science and Mrs. Sepelak teaches Spelling. Please watch your child's assignment notebook for information regarding these two subjects.

  6. Social Studies • I will be teaching Social Studies to all three classes. There will be a few projects through out the year. We will be using the newspaper Ohio Studies Weekly, for much of the year.

  7. Grammar • We will be completing DOL every week. I will pass them out and teach the concepts on Monday. They will be due and checked on Thursday of that week. There will then me a DOL quiz after going over the homework.

  8. Class Website • To access our class website go to: www.riversidelocalschools.com click on schools and then Madison Ave. On the left there is a tab for online classroom, click on that tab. Scroll down to Kalb, Adam and that will direct you to our website. I will be keeping this up to date with homework. I also try and put important dates up as well.
