  3. What is MUN?? • MUN (Model United Nations) is an extra curricular activity in many schools and universities where students assume the roles of countries and organizations represented in the United Nations in specific committees and debate about issues concerning the world.

Origin and Aims In 1920, known as ‘Model league of nations’ Formed after the World War II The Harvard MUN, The International Model United Nations, Singapore and The Hague International Model United Nations are few of the biggest MUNs In India, HMUN,IIMUN, SRMMUN and ILMUNC are few of the biggest MUN’s and iMUN would be one of those.

  5. to encourage debate and sharing of views between students from different schools and of different ethnicities. • to promote awareness of international relations and issues in young people, • to inspire global mindedness and an understanding to the problems of the world and how to combat them, whilst providing an atmosphere where students can progress in their communication skills and open mindedness. • to allow students an insight to further their understanding and learning of politics in a global and international manner

Agenda and country • Two agendas would be given by the board for discussion and resolution • Country matrix would be published and you have to provide your preferred country during your registration • You would be allotted a country by the board on the basis of your public speaking experiences and on a first come first serve basis. • You would then start researching on that topic and on your assigned country
