AAS Success Story:National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Requirement: NOAA’s National Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service (NESDIS) provides timely access to global environmental data from satellites and other sources to promote, protect, and enhance the Nation's economy, security, environment, and quality of life.NOAA needed Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support for their Environmental Satellite Processing and Distribution Services (ESPDS) system. Solution: Working together, a $97.4M contract was awarded on the Alliant Small Business GWAC. As a result, NOAA will be able to plan, acquire, develop, implement, integrate, test, and transition new or enhanced ground satellite data processing functions, which NESDIS relies on for its non-NOAA and international satellite data required for operational mission support.

  18. Solution: AAS crafted an integrated solution combining a wide variety of systems engineering, test and evaluation support; security; software, database, and systems development; project and configuration management; and VTC capability. An Alliant GWAC task order was awarded on schedule, transitioned seamlessly, and at a cost savings of $16.5M or 28% compared to the Independent Government Cost Estimate (IGCE).
