  3. Shakespeare’s Life • His parents were John Shakespeare and Mary Arden • John was a glovemaker, shop-keeper, landowner, and mayor of Stratford • William had 6 siblings

  4. Shakespeare’s Life • John’s job allowed William to be able to attend grammar school, where he studied Latin • But, he never went to college

  5. Shakespeare’s Life • Married Anne Hathaway on November 27, 1582 • He was 18 and she was 26 • They had 3 children: • Susanna • Hamnet • Judith
