  2. Grad/After Grad Meeting • Prayer - Mr. Garchinski • Welcome and Opening Remarks • Holy Cross Graduation Information • After Grad Information

Eligibility • Student must have earned 19 credits before entering their final semester. • Must register in a sufficient number of classes to give them the possibility of at least 24 credits. • Must be passing their required courses by midterm of the second semester. • Must receive a final grade in each of these classes • Must satisfy Ministry of Education guidelines • Must fulfill Christian Ethics requirements • Students must apply to graduate.

  4. School Sponsored Activities • Graduation Mass and Exercises • Graduation Banquet • Graduation Dance • Grand March • Slide Show • Student Committee established second semester

  5. After Grad Activities • Parents and students organize • Occurs after the school sponsored activities • Cost – determined by the committee • Chair of the committee – Doreen and Bill Chyz

  6. School Sponsored Costs • $60.00 paid at the beginning of the school year. • Covers the following costs: • Gown and stole rental • Grad cap and Tassel (students keep these items) • Facility Rental – Centennial Auditorium and Prairie Land Exhibition Park. • D.J. for Dance • Flowers for decoration • Music – must pay for public performance rights • Incidentals

  7. Graduation Banquet • Cost last year was $27 dollars/plate (cost to be determined) • All those that wanted to attend were able to. • Large Screen T.V. • Plenty of Room. • Approximately 1900 attended banquet

  8. 2009 Calendar • Last day of School – June 26, 2009. • Exams – June 16, 2009 to June 22, 2009. • Distribution of Cap, Gowns and tickets – Friday 11:30 a.m. June 19, 2009 • Date of Graduation – Thursday, June 25, 2009.

  9. Grad Date Selection • Random draw to select the Grad Date. • Order of selection determined 8 years ago. Schools added to the bottom of the list as they are built. • Selection made in order of list. Top of list moves down to the bottom of list the following year. Holy Cross now 10th on the list. • In order to improve days Catholic Schools are now sharing dates and facilities. • We share a day with BJM. EDF and St. Joseph share a day.

Date and Times for Graduation • Thursday June 25, 2009. • Mass and Exercises – 9:00 a.m. TCU Place • Banquet and Dance at Prairie Land Exhibition Hall • Banquet – 6:00 p.m. • Dance – 9:00 p.m. • Grand March – 9:00 p.m. • Video presentation – 10:00 p.m. • After Grad – 12:00 p.m. Location - TBA

  14. Chemical Free Graduations • All city high schools are chemical free • Money from Kinsmen Club and School Boards to organize the seminar • Business communities supports with prizes and cash • City police actively encourage and promote chemical free after grads

  19. Volunteers also needed for • Schools win twice Tickets – Barb Boryski and Gail Knibbs • Christmas Banquet – Barb Frondall • Fashion Show – TBD – with after grad

Student Volunteers Required • Students required to be members of the After Grad Committee. • 12 students must attend committee meetings and attend a City Wide Chemical Free After Grad Seminar. • Held November 19th 8:30 a.m. at Eamer Auditorium at the STF building • If interested sign up at the front before you leave.
