  4. 1/Gulf Industrial Database It is covering data for : • More than 4000 products • Over 14000 Manufacturing Companies in the GCC Region • Over 8000 Licensed Companies in the GCC Region Caters to the needs of Investors and Industrialists for Industrial information, necessary for decision making on Investment and Marketing

  5. 1/ Search on Gulf Industrial Database • Click on the Gulf Industrial Database – three options of search : • 1/1 Company search • 1/2 Design capacity and production volume • 1/3 Industrial Statistic

  6. 1/1 Company search by : • Company Name : with the feature of selecting country and company status (For example cement) – result a list of all companies in GCC countries contain word cement and their products. • For more information on company click on the company name. • You can sort companies by status, city or country. • Report can be export to PDF.

  7. 1/1 Company search by : • Industrial activity (ISIC Code from the attached list of value): with the feature of selecting country and company status (For example ISIC No. 241000 – Basic Metal Industry) – The result is a list of all companies in manufacturing Basic Iron & steel . • For more information on company click on the company name. • You can sort companies by status, city or country. • Report can be export to PDF.

  8. 1/1 Company search by : • Product (from the attached list of value): with the feature of selecting country and company status (For example Product code No. 31021000 – Urea) – The result is a list of all companies manufacturing Urea. • For more information on company click on the company name. • You can sort companies by status, city or country. • Report can be export to PDF.

  9. 1/2 Design capacity and Production Volume : (the report output contain design capacity and actual production of the selected product. • Click to Select Products from the attached list of value. • See result on the next slide.

  10. Select the product code or name from the attached list of value (example – product code No. 31021000: Urea then click ok. • Click on Run Report Button • See result on the next slide.

  11. Table contain both Design Capacity and Production value in ton or other available units of all GCC Countries from 2005 to 2009 • You can select more than one product in the report.

  12. 1/3 Industrial Statistics: (the report output contain No of firms, Total investment, total manpower of the selected sector by country) • Click to Select Sectors from the attached list of value (International Industrial Classification ISIC Revision 4).

  13. Click to Select Sectors from the value list (International Industrial Classification ISIC Revision 4) example ISIC No. 105000 Manufacture of Dairy Products. • Click on Run Report Button, See result on the next slide.

  14. Total Number of Firms, Investment and Manpower in Manufacturing of Dairy products Sector in GCC Countries & Yemen • Table Can be in PDF or Excel format. • You can select more than one industrial sector (ISIC) in one report.

  15. 2/Foreign Trade Database : • GCC Imports, Exports, Re-Exports and Net Imports Statistics • Source of Origin and Volume of Trade between GCC and the World • Over 7000 commodities within 5 years timeframe

  16. 2/Search on Foreign Trade Database: • Click on the Foreign Trade Database – three option of search : • 1/2 Trade Volume (By Products) • 2/2 Trade Volume By Products – world wide) • 3/2 Exchange Trade by Top selected products.

  17. 1/2 Trade Volume (By Products) • Click to Select Products from the attached list of value.

  18. 1/2 Trade Volume (By Products) • Select the product from the list of value (Harmonized system code) for example *Ammonia* then click on Run Report. (This report output contain import , export ,re-export , net import of GCC states for the selected product in weight : Kg and value : US$) • See result on the next slide.

  19. Table can be in PDF or Excel format. • You can select more than one product in one report

  20. 2/2 Trade Volume By Products – world wide) • Click the value list to search & select products ( Example code no. 3102 for * mineral or chemical fertilizers) – then select GCC country (example Saudi Arabia – select trade type - select partner country (All or any country) . • The report output contain import , export ,re-export , net import of Saudi Arabia by country of origin for the selected product in weight : Kg and value : US$. • See result on the next slide.

  22. 3/2 Exchange Trade by Top selected products. • Identify the following: • Trade type – country (GCC) – Partner country – year – volume type – No. of product – product code class (digits) • This is indicate to the top 10 products imported by Kuwait from Japan in Year 2009 by value according to the Harmonized system (products code) 4 digits and it’s percentage from Kuwait total imports from Japan . See the result on the Next slide.

  24. 3/ Socio-Economic database Contains over 400 statistical tables, covering all aspects of Socio-Economic indicators of GCC countries, includes: • Population Statistics • Price Index • Health • Industry • Foreign Trade Statistics • Agriculture • Oil and Gas • Labour • Finance • Transports & Communication • Housing • Education • National Accounts

  25. 3/ Search on Socio-economic Database: • Socio-economic Indicator Sample report : Select the following : • Country – Type of economic activity (example National accounts) – type of Indicator (Total GDP of GCC) and time series then click submit. See result on the next slide

  27. 4/ Experts Database • Informative Data Base that includes information on experts withinGCC. Covering many sectors such as: • Industrial • Commerce • Finance • Engineering • Experts Database cover various information including: • Field of specialization • Educational & practical experiences • Name & address

  28. 4/ Search on Experts Database • If you now the expert Name write it on the field of Consultant details contains • Or Specify Category – Country - Specialization - Education • Click on the expert name to get his contacts details • For more information click on Export consultant information to PDF (see next slide)

  29. 5/ Investment opportunities Database Providing reports on the investment opportunities profiles conducted by GOIC to promote industrial investments within GCC. These reports cover, and not limited to: • Raw materials • Capacity • Technology • Product Features • Marketing • Manpower • Capital Investments

  30. 5/ Search Investment opportunities Database Investment profile search: Specify the product name on which you are searching a profile (example : aluminum) and click find - for more information again click on the profile name. If you need full page summary on the profile click on Export investment profile to PDF see next slide
