  5. Alice travels to this miraculous world where she meets amazing characters. She looks for a beautiful garden in Wonderland. She ends up in a huge adventure.

  6. The Conflict! • The conflict of the story was that Alice wanted to get to this beautiful garden, but she couldn’t find a way in. • The resolution was that she woke up, the whole time she had been dreaming.

  7. My Favorite Characters! • Alice is one, she is very adventurous and curious. • The Mad Hatter is my all time favorite characters because he is just very crazy like me and he’s not afraid of what people do or say. • The Caterpillar is just cool

  8. The Chesire Cat is really cool!!! • The Chesire Cat is a mischievous character I like because he smiles in a way that says that he’s better than you could ever be and I really like that! • He causes a lot of trouble and makes the queen go crazy!! But the Mad Hatter will always be my favorite!

  9. Setting! • The setting of Alice in Wonderland is London and in Wonderland of course.

  10. Theme! • The theme of the story, I think is to always dream because it keeps the imagination alive. • It could also be looked at as there is no theme.

  11. The Device! • The device used was dream.

  12. Genre! • The genre is obviously fantasy. She is in a world with card soldiers and cats that talk.

  13. Lewis Carroll was born 1832. His father was Charles Dodgson, as was he. (he changed his name) Lewis was an Archdeacon at the Richmond Cathedral. He was the third born out of eleven. • When he was a child he took interest in mathematics. He even made his own family magazine, which contained little word and number puzzles. • He was an excellent Rugby player. He attended Oxford college at the age of 18, in 1850, and excelled in his favorite subject, math. Lewis spent the rest of his life at oxford. He eventually died at the age of 66.

  14. Ten year old Alice Liddell was the child of a church colleague, for whom the Alice stories had been originally created. • Lewis Carroll wrote very enticing books that seem to draw children in to the book, and into a very different world of there own. • Sir John Tenniel was the illustrator of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. • Other books written by Lewis are Hunting of the Snark and two parts of Slyvie and Bruno. • A combination of Alice In Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass was made into a movie by Disney in 1951.

  15. What Do I think? • I think this is one of the best books I’ve ever read. • I recommend this book to anyone with a love for imagination, or have an imagination.
