WHERE CHEETAHS LIVE • Cheetahs live in southwestern and eastern Africa. • Adaptations-- • Cheetahs have long black lines which run from the inside of each eye to the mouth. • These are usually called tear lines and scientists believe they help protect the cheetah eyes from the harsh sun and help them to see long distances.

  4. WHY ARE CHEETAHS ENDANGERED? Cheetahs are endangered because the general habitat of Cheetahs is being destroyed by humans. Humans are building houses and roads. Cheetahs are endangered because they do not have a lot of food to eat.

Cheetahs knock their prey to the ground and kill with a suffocating bite to the neck.
