  2. Project Goals • Explore the use of Internet2 and video conferencing to: • Remotely collaborate and exchange ideas with MIT and other Internet2 universities • Share Internet2 vision with K-12 community

  3. Benefits of Remote Collaborations • Collaboration among diverse and geographically dispersed institutions/faculty/students • MIT, Mesa State College, WSU - sharing research and projects

  4. Benefits of Remote Collaborations • Decreased travel time and expense allowing for more frequent collaboration • KU, KSU, ESSDACK, WSU - grant planning

  5. Benefits of Remote Collaborations • Face-to-face exchanges vs. email or phone are familiar and comfortable • HPR*TEC, USD 259, KSDE, WSU - assessment planning

  6. Benefits of Internet2’sK-20 Initiative • Expand Transition to Teaching Program • Faculty remotely observe student teachers • Students remotely participate in on-campus classes • Faculty/Student immediate face-to-face exchange
