Fundraising • Objective • Generate revenue to permit ALL player participation, allow staff to obtain necessary equipment not covered by athletic budget and to enable participants to most fully enjoy their Track and Field experience. • Methodology • Lottery Style Fundraiser (80%) • Restaurant Participation (10%) • Other (10%)

Lottery Style Fundraiser • Small contributions from family and friends • Team members will be expected to sell a certain number of tickets at a small donation cost to family, friends, co-workers, etc. • In exchange for their small donation the ticket holder will have the opportunity to win back their donation or more on every weekday and Saturday during the season. • Up to 1000 tickets numbered 000 – 999 will be sold. Ticket holders may check the Evening Daily Number in the Pennsylvania Lottery to determine if their number matches. If a match is made the ticket holder will win $25. Saturday’s winnings will be $100. • Extended version of the classic 50/50 raffle that occurs at nearly every sporting event. • If any team member does not sell their ticket allotment, we will pursue an alternate means to help those participants sell their tickets.

  9. Lottery Style Fundraiser • Reduce the heavy burden of fundraising that is often put on a team’s parents and coaches. • We can raise more money with less work than traditional fundraisers because we do not need to provide a service.

  10. Restaurant Participation • Eat out at every away meet. • Obtain a percentage of the profits from that restaurant • Earned significant monies last year doing this 2-3 times

  13. Vision • Instill a sense of pride in and around the JB Track and Field program • Include alumni and community in program events • Develop feeder programs • Help facility improvement initiative with participation and conduct
