  2. Early Life Se llama Xavier Hernandez. El es de Terrasa, Spain. Xavi was born on January 25, 1980. He started playing soccer at a young age. He went to FC Barcelona when he was only eleven years old. He has played for FC Barcelona his whole life and played his first match at the age of 18 on the first team. His father, Joaquim, was a former player of Sabadell in the first division. As of right now Xavi has played 697 matches, scored 78 goals, and has 180 assists to over 50 different players.

Xavi is the first player in FC Barcelona history to play 150 international matches. Xavi has the world record for the most appearences as an FC Barcelona player with 550 total appearances.

Xavi will be playing for FC Barcelona for the next three years as his newest contract extends to 2016.
