  2. Who is our Master?

  3. Our Goals To know that our master is: 1. Brilliant 2. Creative 3. Challenging 4. Fearless 5. Compassionate 6. Unpredictable 7. Ultimately satisfying

  4. Dialogue

  5. No doctrines

  6. Jesus is brilliant • Wilderness is not the end • Temptation on the cross • Love is the key • You lose it, you find it

  7. Jesus is creative • Replace the old with new • Gift is gift, not something we deserve • Spiritual sickness – hyprocrisy, legalism and pride • Only we ourselves can overcome

  8. Jesus is challenging • He dares to challenge the rich young man whom he likes • Sermon on the mount – offensive • He demands people to do the impossibles • He has to be the only master

  9. Jesus is fearless • He dares to deliver the Beatitudes • The Beatitudes upset both the unfortunate ones and the fortunate ones • Was Jesus’ fear real? • He chose to disclose his identity in front of Herod and Pilate who would kill him

  10. Jesus is compassionate • Jesus attracts the sinners • Jesus ignores the rules of defilement • Jesus proclaims a new gospel of grace • Jesus proved in person God is not the unmoved Absolute, but the Loving one who draws near

  11. Jesus is unpredictable • He refused to be the expected messiah (people’s, Torah & king) • He refused to fall in the temptation • He did things unexpected • He avoids big shows

  12. Jesus is ultimately satisfying • Jesus is not “boring” and “predictable” • Jesus’ message is simple – God’s unconditional love • Nobody would deserve that love • God’s love extends to us, free of charge, no strings attached

  13. Question #1 What did Jesus look like when you were young?

  14. Question #2 Did the image of Jesus to you change over the years?

  15. Question #3 Do you see any difference between the real Jesus and the Jesus of our expectations?

  16. Question #4 How should we deal with Jesus when we claim ourselves as Christian?

  17. Question #5 When facing a question, why did Jesus provide extra information, more than he was asked?

  18. Question #6 When you get to know more about Jesus, about him being brilliant, creative, challenging, fearless, compassionate, unpredictable and ultimately satisfying, do you think you would choose to live a different life if you have a choice?

  19. Question #7 Can we be faithful ministers of Christ like Epaphras?
