Three sisters design considerations
Three Sisters Design Considerations

  • Over the last 2 years, many designs were considered, and eliminated:

  • A bridge would be required to maintain and construct a single weir.

  • Each waterway has a different elevation and flow rate.

  • The stilling basin before the culverts under I-95 attenuates and reduces water velocities.

  • The proposed design has been permitted by the SJRWMD.

  • A new design would require withdrawal of the PDM Grant application.

  • With new design elevations, the new permit would require stormwater and groundwater modeling.
