The Eastern Screech Owl • Eastern Screech Owl • The Eastern Screech Owl is found where ever trees are, and their even willing to nest in backyards nest boxes. • Like most raptors ,male Eastern Screech Owls are smaller than females, and are more agile fliers and hunters. • Smaller birds can help you find where the Eastern Screech Owls are at. The American Alligator • American Alligator • The average size for a female alligator is 8.2 feet and the size for a male alligator is 11.2 feet. • Large males can reach up to half a ton or 1000 pounds. • They eat fish, snails ,and other invertebrates, birds, frogs, and mammals that come to the waters edge. • Alligators can live up to 50 years old.
