Progesterone levels do not correlate with gestational age at deliveryPlasma progesterone levels assessed in samples collected between gestational week 25-28 from HIV+ women are plotted against gestational age at birth. Black triangles represent HIV+ women on PI-based therapy that delivered full-term (FTD), N=18. Red triangles represent HIV+ women on PI-based therapy that delivered pre-term (PTD), N=4. Gray dots represent HIV+ women on NNRTI-based therapy, N=5. None of these women delivered pre-term. There was no significant correlation between progesterone levels and gestational age at birth (assessed by Spearman t-test).
