Underground • Base network of public transport • The first section of the underground was opened on 9th May 1974 • Prague has three lines, they’re green (A), yellow (B) and red (C) • Total length of network is 59.3km and the underground stops at 57 stations • The underground carries one million passengers every day

  5. Tram • Trams in Prague have been operating since 1875 • Prague tram network is the largest in the Czech republic (140.9km) • In 2008 Prague‘s trams carried over 356 million passengers, which is the second highest part of public transport • 934 trams in service • 25 day and 9 night routes

  7. Bus • Bus in Prague city streets appeared on 3rd March 1908 • Bus service now operates with six major transporter • Prague is also an important starting point and hub of suburban and long distance bus transport

Taxi • Since 1st January 1962 there is also city taxi • monopolized and based national company Taxi Prague • It isn‘t subsidised by public funds, it‘s supported by private companies • Prague has 3338 registered taxis and 5195 taxis drivers • Since 1st July 2010 Jakub Marek introduced thefirst motorbike taxi (Moto-taxi), it is faster and cheaper than a normal taxi

  11. Aviation(air transport) • Prague has two airports: the first, which is used for our air force is Kbely airport, thesecond, bigger and normally used is Ruzyně airport • Ruzyně airport is an important hub in the air transport • It‘s able to carry 13 million passengers per year
