Significant Figures Review page • Zeros do not count if they are behind a number and there is no decimal point. • Remember when there is a decimal point, the zero could be significant. • ***Find a decimal in a number, find the first significant figure in that number and that number and those that follow are all significant.

Move decimal to the left for standard form. • If n is a positive number, the number is bigger than 1. Move the decimal to the right for standard form.
