  4. Recommending a Strategy • 1. Be sure that your local Aerie has a Membership Chairman. • 2. Begin a Re-Enrollment Campaign. • 3. Look into the possibility of a New Aerie. • 4. Utilize the Provincial Bulletin. • 5. Assign Prov. Officers/Chairmen to assist reporting Aeries. • 6. Remember EMOALONMTHAEY! British Columbia Aerie Membership Department

Motivate Others! a) Inertia - the concept that shows that a person in motion stays in motion and an idle person stays idle. b) Change habits - Studies show that a habit is formed by doing the same thing over a 21 day period. c) Self-Motivators -Things that motivate you to motivate others. [I can and do make a difference!] d) Negatives - Negative people will make the most positive person in the world negative, if you stay and listen. Keep your mind on the things you want and off the things you don't want. British Columbia Aerie Membership Department

  6. Available Options • Change of attitudes and activities. • Advertise yourself to other organizations. (Police & firemen, teachers, etc.) • Go to the public. [Don't always make them come to you.] • Go to your city council meeting and advise the city leaders of what the Eagles have done for your community. British Columbia Aerie Membership Department

  7. Available Options (cont.) • Have contests within your own Aerie. (Officers vs. members at meetings for the next 2 weeks, etc.) • Remember to use the national charities as a selling point. • ALWAYS mention the Memorial Foundation. British Columbia Aerie Membership Department

  8. Recommendation • The thing to always remember is that a Positive Mental Attitude can achieve anything, because it is CONTAGIOUS! • Make it FUN. Don't take it so seriously! • Have one month set aside for a membership drive in each local Aerie. • Remember that the best way for us to predict the future is to create it ourselves.
