  1. Monday November 4th • Warm Up • College Fair Prep Activity • Exposure to local colleges. • Practice independent college search

  2. Warm Up • What are some colleges in Minnesota that you are interested in? Why are those colleges of interest to you?

  3. College Fair Activity • Tomorrow we will be attending the MNACC College Fair. • There will be over 50 colleges from Minnesota and surrounding states represented at the fair. • Since there are so many colleges, we want you to narrow down which 4 colleges you would like more information from.

  4. Pre College Fair Prep • Using the worksheet, select 4 colleges from the list that you would like to know more about. Select Two 2-year colleges and Two 4 –year colleges. We have provide you with a folder to collect information as well • Using online resources, search for some background information about the 3 schools • When you are done, share with a classmate what you learned about one of the schools

  5. Tuesday November 5th • Warm Up • New Quarter, Fresh Start • College Fair • Students will be exposed to colleges in the state and region • Students will identify 2 and 4 year colleges of interest. • Students will share their college preferences

  6. MNACC College Fair • We will be attending the MNACC College Fair. This is an opportunity to see many colleges in the region • You will have 25 minutes to go around and gather information from the 4 schools you have selected. • Once done with your questions share with a partner interesting information you have found and explore more schools.

  7. Wednesday November 6th • Warm Up • College Fair Reflection and share out • Students will write a written reflection from the college fair. • Students will share with peers and advisory their experience at the college fair.

  8. Warm Up • Was this your first college fair? Name one new college you learned about. • On a scale of 1 to 10, how much did you like the college fair? Explain your score.

  9. College Fair Reflection • Using the sheet provided, write in complete sentences about your experience at the college fair. • When you are done, share with a partner.
