  2. Learning about Storytellers • Each group will choose from one of the cultures we discussed in class: • African griots • Greek myths • American tall tales and legends • Latin American corridos • Slave spirituals • Native American oral tradition

What You’ll Do • Each group will research their cultural storyteller and prepare a PowerPoint presentation on their laptop describing the culture and the storyteller. • You may use the internet for your research as long as you use credible websites. • Your group will present your PowerPoint to the class on the projector during MSSR.

  4. Questions to Answer • What culture does the storyteller come from? • Where do people in that culture usually come from? • What is the purpose of these storytellers? • What are the main characteristics of these storytellers? • **Bonus: Find an example of a story they tell.
