What to think about? • Shot sizes – close up, long shot • How we can show where they are in relation to people in the other scenes • Camera angles – perspective, high angle, low angle, point of view • There not always about great drawing – used to show what the final version is • Where do you put your character is the frame. • Over explain

  3. Purpose of storyboarding • Illustrations that represent the shots • No rules – most important thing is convey information • Director and storyboard artist sit down to summaries the most important information and vision

  4. Common mistakes • Not drawing image to fit the shot description • Not filling in all the boxes • Using the wrong key terms – i.e. panning instead of tracking • Using one space on the storyboard to show a whole scene • Not considering anything other than the character in the image i.e. things behind them
