Philosophy, Mission, Goals Create a Fun, Safe, Passionate Environment Player Development Technically sound, Physically capable for level of competition, Tactically proficient (smart soccer) Prepare for HS Varsity, College, and Pro Development At 16 yrs old, VC Fusion YSA players can tryout for PDL Reserve (U21) team Team Development Play at high level of competition Depth at each position

Team Participation Expectations • Practices, twice a week (work around in-season HS sports) • Scrimmages • Games • Tournaments • Fitness, strength condition, diet, nutrition, rest away from team • Implementing Player Call/Text tree • Call/text/email coach 1 hour prior to practice session if unable to attend. • Call/text/email coach 1 day prior to scrimmage or game if unable to attend. • Call/text/email coach 1 week prior to tournament if unable to attend. • Participation will directly affect playing time • Same is true for High School and College

  6. Team’s Position • Currently ranked: 144 • Cal South Bronze • Petition for Silver or Silver Elite • Other levels: Gold and Premiere • Option: US Development Academy League • Future possibility with Fusion

  7. Practices/ Fields • Tierra Linda temporary • Mesa Union permanent (some cost) • Kimball Park • Newbury Park (cost) • PV Fields, PV school district, Imation ruled out

  8. Spring 2011 Schedule • Practices T/TH 5:30-7:30 • ChivasTournament 30 APR-1 MAY • Scrimmages, 23, 25 APR, 15 MAY? • Wave Tournament 4-5 JUN • Fusion Home Games (start 1 MAY) • Team outing/tailgate @ Galaxy and Fusion away game

  9. Summer 2011 Schedule • College camp @ a team rate (UCLA, UCSB; usually in June) • 6 June – 25 July Team break • Recommend strength training during break (players need to continue to work to be able to meet the physical demands of the game)

Fall 2011 Schedule • 2010 Post Season wrap/gathering (galaxy tailgate or party etc?) • Practices (resume: week of July 25th) Three times per week initially. • Keepers w/Fusion Friday nights? • Fall Team Meeting: (August 6?) • Preseason trip for scrimmage outside of area • Regular Season Games 10 SEP • Fusion PDL tryout (December)

Costs / Fees • Fusion player registration fee ~$495($490 last season) • Uniform: $150 ( Uniform includes: 2 Jerseys/shorts/2 socks/t-shirt) • New bag/back pack ~$35 • New Jacket ~$54 • Any Uniform issues? • Additional Fusion apparel can be purchased at Xtreme soccer (Oxnard) • Tournaments • Donations for practice goals, cooler, tent, ice bags
