  3. Students sit or stand on the library side of hallway before getting books. • As students exit library with book they can sit or stand on the opposite side of hall and read books. • Students can record their book in log while they wait. HALLWAY MAINTAIN SILENCE

  5. Teachers stand so they can see inside room and monitor hallway.

THINGS TO REMEMBER when getting a book • Take reading log to library. • Choose a place marker to use before pulling • a book from the shelf. • Neatly place books back on shelf where they • were if you decide not to take the book. • Choose no more than 3 books on the level • your teacher has instructed. • Keep feet on floor

  7. THINGS TO REMEMBER WHEN RETURNING A BOOK • Wait your turn • Determine the level of the book you are returning. • Find the level on the shelf where the book belongs. • Place book spine facing out. • Position book on the shelf correct end up. • Place book on shelf neatly.
