  4. Healing of a Man Born Blind Restored sight to others 6 other miracles Matt. 9:27-31 - two blind men This man had Congenital blindness Jesus used no more power in giving sight to the man born blind than he did in giving sight in the beginning when he created man.

  5. The Blind Man Jn. 9:1-3 Never been able to see Who sinned ? Transmigration - sent to other bodies Punished for sin in other life Neither Blindness not caused by sin To show the works of God

Healing The Blind Man • John 9:6-7 • When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. • And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.”

  11. The Man Persecuted Jn. 9:28-34 Reviled - cutting, piercing words Man speaks for Jesus John 9:32 “Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.” 33. “If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.”

  12. The Man Persecuted Jn. 9:28-34 Excommunicated John 9:34 “They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.” He was true to the Physician He was cast out

  13. The Man Befriended Jn. 9:35-41 Jesus came to him Do you believe on the Son of God? Confessed • Who is he ? • Jesus was the one • “Lord I believe”

  16. Results of Healing of a Man Born Blind • Sight to one born blind • Value of obedience • Glorified Jesus • Fulfilled prophecy by Isaiah • Showed compassion of Jesus • Confirmed the word

  17. Important Truth Learned from Miracle • Sickness not always caused by Sin • Living a godly life is a blessing • But even good people suffer • Be patient when we have infirmities
