  1. Medical Records Tracking (MRT)Track &Request Med Rec (TRM) MRT is provided as a separate and secondary menu for personnel working in records rooms. A limited MRT menu (TRM) is contained within the Front Desk Functions Clerk menu for all personnel attending CHCS Clerk, Front Desk Functions, or MCP Booking classes. There are separate locations within the NMCP Homepage for refresher procedures for Clerks (with the limited TRM menu) and Records Room personnel (with the full MRT menu)

Clerk Medical Records Handling Procedures 1.   Records checked out of the NMCP Medical Records Room to a clinic (via a "Pull List" or individually) DO have to be re-charged into the clinic.  2.   Clinics returning records to the NMCP Medical Records Room DO have to re-charge them out to the room.  Medical Records will check them in upon their return. 

  3. Clerk Medical Records Handling Procedures(cont.) 3.   Individual medical records, assigned to NMCP hand carried to the clinic by a patient, MUST be re-charged into the clinic. This may be accomplished by either scanning the record's barcode with the electronic scanner, OR by entering the patient's data via the keyboard.  4.   These records should be returned to the NMCP record room after use, and not returned to the patient.  Clinics DO have to re-charge these records out to the room.  Medical Records will check them in upon their return.

Clerk Medical Records Handling Procedures(cont.) 5.   Records received from "outside activities" (other than fleet units) should be returned to the NMCP or respective record room for distribution to their home location.  6.
