  4. Dominant Ideology • Dominant ideology is based on power. • At one time the Church spread the word of dominant ideology • Today Consumerism and Capitalist values are the dominant ideology. • Test to see if this is true....

  7. Dominant Ideology is a good place to start when thinking about Media Language and Form because the values, codes and conventions shown in the media texts are so ‘naturalised’ (normal to us) we can find it hard to identify or analyse.
