1. Put a next to your thesis. We (humans) want what we don’t have, & a basic want that every one has is to be successful. So transformation is a thing that most people dream of. Magically waking up as someone or something new & going off on an adventure is a theme that is very popular. But the want to be thrust into danger & the unknown should be a scary thing. So why is it something we dream of.
1. Is your thesis L2? Lots of people, like Gregor and Io, don’t realize how people and things see the world in a different way until they see it for themselves.
1. Is your thesis L2? Humans have always been fascinated with the notion of change because it lets them change into something better or something they have always wanted to be, and it can symbolize what the world is like but in a twisted way.

Examples are found in Kafka’s Metamorphosis and Ovid’s “Metamorphoses.” Gregor, in the Metamorphosis, turns into a massive vermin and is rejected by his family. Daphne, from “Apollo and Daphne,” turns into a tree to avoid Apollo, who has been change to love her.
3. Do you address both parts of the prompt? In Kafka’s Metamorphosis, Gregor had changed into a bug. In history he represented the industrial revolution. His family represented the people who did not want the change. This shows that change needed to happen but a lot of people were scared of it like when Gregor’s family was scared of him being a bug. When Gregor died his family was very happy about it. In history this was a representation of when the Industrial Revolution ended. Like his family a lot of people were ready for it to be over.

Pygmalia is a bachelor and is in love with a statue that he made. One day he is kissing the statue and he feels warmth. Suddenly the statue is alive She is called Galatea. In another story by Ovid Appollo is chasing after Daphne. Daphne is turned into a tree. She is saved from Apollo because he cannot move a tree. In the book Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka the main character GregorSamsa wakes up suddenly and is terrified to find out that he is indeed a bug. There is no explanation as to why he is a bug. All of these stories demonstrate how unpredictable change is. No one can foresee change.

Is your shrunken essay smooth and cohesive? The captivation that humans have had with change, can be traced back to the irrefutable fact that when change does occur, consequences, whether good or bad, are put into place. On one hand, change can be a glorious occurrence that brings about better times in the future. On the other hand, change can be an unfortunate event that few await in anticipation. Change can not only affect a person’s counter moves, it can alter humans’ perception of the world in which they live in. Change, good or bad, has always been, and will always be, a terrifying, yet remarkable event.
