History and Mission

  • Founded in 2002 to support women in Life Sciences from CEO to entry level professionals
  • WIB provides networking, career support, career development and leadership skills for professional women in all areas of Life Sciences.

Who We Are

  • WIB conducts professional developmentprograms, workshops, and seminars; organizes networkingopportunities with investors, attorneys, researchers and executives in fields such as finance, marketing, human resources, and communications; and holds exciting social events.
  • Other initiatives include the inspiring Young Women In Bio(YWIB) program and a scholarship honoring WIB co-founder Robbie Melton.

Young Women In Bio Programs

The Young Women In Bio committee creates programs and events geared towards encouraging middle and high school girls to consider the life sciences as a career choice. The events ignite girls’ curiosity in biotechnology while nurturing a business and entrepreneurial spirit.
